Description

This reinforcement material is designed for laminating with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins. It consists of randomly oriented glass fibers bonded by an emulsion or powder binder, providing strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability. The mat is easy to handle and can drape over complex shapes.

Instructions

Cut the mat to the required size and place it onto a clean, prepared mold or surface. Mix the chosen polyester, vinyl ester, or epoxy resin according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Apply resin evenly with a brush or roller until the mat is fully saturated. Use a laminating roller to remove trapped air and ensure complete wet-out. Add additional layers as needed, overlapping edges for strength and continuity. Allow the laminate to cure fully before trimming or finishing. Wear gloves, eye protection, and a respirator when cutting or handling fiberglass materials and resin systems.
