Key Technical Specifications
Printing Temperature: 200°C – 230°C
Bed Temperature: 50°C – 60°C (optional/recommended)
Diameter: 1.75 mm and 2,85 mm
Mechanical Properties: Medium strength, low flexibility, and medium durability
Warping/Shrinkage: Minimal
Main Advantages
Beginner-Friendly: The filament flows predictably and adheres well to standard print surfaces like PEI sheets, glass beds, or blue tape (often enhanced with adhesive sprays like 3Dlac).
Odorless: Like most standard PLAs, it prints pleasantly indoors because it doesn't emit harsh chemical fumes.
Wide Color Selection: Available in a vast catalog of solid, transparent, and unique variations.
European Production: Manufactured locally within the EU.
General guidelines for settings and printing for the best results with AzureFilm PLA Skin:
Printer Settings
Nozzle temperature: Set between 200 °C and 220 °C. Start at 210 °C. Adjust based on stringing or layer adhesion.
Bed temperature: Set between 50 °C and 60 °C. PLA prints on a cold bed. A heated bed prevents warping.
Print speed: Ideal between 50 mm/s and 100 mm/s. Print faster on high-speed printers by slightly increasing nozzle temperature.
Cooling fan: Set to 100% after the first layer. Maximum cooling ensures sharp details and clean bridges.
Bed Adhesion & Surface Preparation
Clean surface: Wipe the print bed with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) before printing. This removes finger oils.
Bed types: Works perfectly on PEI sheets, glass, or aluminum.
Adhesive: Use a thin layer of glue stick or 3D-lac spray if prints detach.
Use & Storage
Moisture control: PLA absorbs moisture from the air. This causes bubbles and stringing. Store the spool in a sealed bag with silica gel when not in use.
Drying: If the filament crackles or pops during printing, dry it. Use a filament dryer at 45 °C to 50 °C for 4 to 6 hours.
