Description

AC730 Retarder is an additive that extends the working time of the AC730 composite system. It allows for greater control when casting, coating, or detailing complex molds and surfaces. Slowing the setting process provides flexibility for layering, finishing, and adjusting intricate designs without compromising durability, strength, or surface quality. It is suitable for sculptures, architectural elements, props, and decorative projects. The retarder enhances precision, reduces stress during application, and ensures professional, high-quality results in both creative and industrial workflows.

Instructions

Instructions:

  1. Add the retarder to the liquid component before mixing with the base.
  2. Typical addition rates are small (usually a few percent by weight); always follow manufacturer recommendations and test before full production.
  3. Mix the liquid and retarder thoroughly, then combine with the base and blend until smooth.
  4. Apply or cast as normal. The retarder will extend working time, allowing more time for pouring, brushing, layering, and detailed finishing.
  5. Cure at room temperature and allow the piece to fully set before demolding or sealing.

Safety:

  • Use in a well-ventilated area.
  • Wear gloves and eye protection during handling and mixing.
  • Avoid skin and eye contact; rinse immediately with clean water if contact occurs.
  • Do not ingest.
  • Keep container tightly closed when not in use and store out of reach of children.
  • Dispose of unused material and waste according to local regulations.
