Description

This professional-grade platinum-cure silicone rubber is designed for projects requiring durability, flexibility, and dimensional stability. With a Shore 36A hardness, it balances firmness and elasticity, making it suitable for molds that endure repeated casting cycles with resins, waxes, foams, and low-melt metals.

  • Low viscosity ensures easy pouring and excellent detail reproduction without vacuum degassing in many cases.
  • Cures with minimal shrinkage, producing high-precision molds suitable for industrial prototypes, special effects, architectural elements, figurines, and product design.
  • Offers outstanding tear strength and resistance to heat, chemicals, and deformation, ensuring long service life under demanding conditions.
  • Can be thickened for brush-on applications and modified with pigments or additives for specialized results.

This silicone system is reliable for creators needing a tough, consistent performance across diverse casting materials and production environments.

Instructions

  • Measure equal parts of Part A and Part B by weight or volume and mix thoroughly, scraping sides and bottom until color is uniform. 
  • Due to its low viscosity, vacuum degassing is optional but recommended for critical detail work. 
  • Pour slowly into the mold box from one corner to minimize air entrapment. 
  • Allow silicone to cure undisturbed at room temperature. 
  • Demold after full cure and let the mold rest before use. 
  • For best results, ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of sulfur or contaminants.
  • Shore Hardness: 36A
  • Pot Life: ~30 min
  • Cure Time: ~24 hrs
