Code Stat Palette

Description

The Skin Illustrator Code Stat Palette was specifically designed for Oscar-winning makeup artist Steve LaPorte for the CBS medical drama Code Black. 

As the Makeup Department Head, Steve needed a compact, versatile palette to create a wide range of medical, clinical, and trauma-related makeup effects suitable for a hospital setting. 

This palette includes ten carefully selected Skin Illustrator colors, allowing artists to achieve effects ranging from subtle, patient makeup to intense medical trauma, character distress, illness, bruising, and realistic emergency room scenarios.

This professional alcohol-activated palette features two exclusive custom shades developed by Steve LaPorte for the show, making it a unique part of the Skin Illustrator line.

Instructions

• Activate the colors by moistening a brush or sponge with 99% alcohol or Skin Illustrator Activator, then gently rub the surface of the desired shade to release the pigment. 
• Apply to clean, dry skin using light layers, building color gradually to achieve effects such as bruising, irritation, illness tones, or trauma details. 
• Blend colors as needed to create realistic medical effects. 
• Allow each layer to dry before adding additional detail. 
• Once dry, the makeup becomes durable and long-lasting. 
• To remove, use alcohol or a professional makeup remover designed for alcohol-activated products. 
• Clean brushes thoroughly after use.
