Fast Cat™ 30

Description

Fast Cat™ 30 silicone rubber catalyst will accelerate the cure time of Mold Max™ 30 silicone rubber. Used in place of (or in combination with) Mold Max™ 30 regular Part B catalyst, Fast Cat™ 30 will reduce the demold time from overnight to as little as 30 minutes.

Fast Cat™ 30 is for Mold Max™ 30 silicone ONLY.

Safety:

Use in a properly ventilated area (“room size” ventilation). Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves to minimize contamination risk.

Store and use material at room temperature (73°F / 23°C). This product has a limited shelf life and should be used as soon as possible.

Measuring:

When used alone as Part B for Mold Max™ 30 (100A:10B pbw mix ratio) in place of the regular catalyst, Fast Cat™ 30 reduces the pot life from 45 minutes to 10 minutes and the demold time from 24 hours to 1 hour.

If the amount of Fast Cat™ 30 Part B is increased to 15% (100A:15B pbw), the pot life is reduced to 5 minutes and the demold time to 30 minutes.

Mixing:

Add desired amounts of Fast Cat™ 30 and/or regular Mold Max™ 30 Part B to Mold Max™ 30 Part A by weight and mix thoroughly. Important: Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container several times while mixing. Be aware of your working time with reduced pot life. Note: results may differ due to variables such as temperature and humidity.

Note: Working time is reduced in proportion to the amount of Fast Cat™ 30 added. Adding Fast Cat™ reduces the library and production life of the cured rubber vs. our Mold Max™ regular catalyst
