Description

Enhances the performance and durability of concrete by providing primary reinforcement. Offers high tensile strength and is resistant to alkali and corrosion, suitable for long-term use in cement-based composites and GFRC applications.

Typical Dosage

  • Use approximately 3% by weight of the total mix.
  • This equates to about 0.68-0.79 kg per bag of Buddy Rhodes blended concrete mix.

Mixing Instructions

  • Add fibers later in the mixing process, once the concrete slurry is smooth and fully wetted.
  • Introduce fibers gradually to ensure even dispersion.
  • Avoid overmixing to prevent damage to the fiber structure.

Finishing Notes

  • Compared to monofilament fibers like PVA or AC50, bundled fibers are more likely to be visible on the surface if not properly mixed or finished.
  • Careful batching, controlled mixing, and proper finishing techniques help minimize fiber visibility and achieve a smooth surface.

Instructions

Designed for cement-based composites and GFRC applications, enhancing structural performance, durability, and impact resistance. The fibers are alkali resistant and non-corrosive, suitable for long-term use in Portland cement environments.

Typical Dosage

  • Use at about 3% by weight of the total mix, or approximately 0.68–0.79 kg per bag of Buddy Rhodes blended concrete mix.
  • Accurate weighing is essential for maintaining workability and consistent reinforcement performance.

Mixing Instructions

  • Add fibers later in the mixing process, once the concrete slurry is smooth and fully wetted.
  • Introduce the fibers gradually to ensure even dispersion.
  • Avoid overmixing to prevent damage to the fiber structure.

Finishing Notes

  • Compared to monofilament fibers like PVA or AC50, bundled fibers are more likely to be visible on the surface if not properly mixed or finished.
  • Careful batching, controlled mixing, and proper finishing techniques will minimize fiber read-through and help achieve a smooth, professional surface.
