Description
Ease Release™ 305 is a high-performance, production-proven liquid release agent formulated for polyurethane elastomers and epoxy resins, with excellent release of polyurethane elastomers and microcellular foams. Ease Release™ 305 leaves very little build-up on the molds resulting from isocyanate or epoxy reactions, while maintaining part cleanability with common degreasing solvents. Cleaned parts molded with Ease Release™ 305 can be painted or bonded. Ease Release™ 305 is effective on all mold surfaces, including steel, aluminum, chrome, epoxy, and RTV urethane and silicone mold materials. Features: Ease Release™ 305 is easy to apply, fast-drying, and effective over a broad temperature range from 21°C to 260°C.Ease Release™ 305 provides excellent release with a glossy finish. Precise duplication of mold details, less mold maintenance, and less downtime, which results in greater productivity
Instructions
Core Functionality & Performance
Advanced Chemical Resistance: Formulated to withstand isocyanate and epoxy reactions, leaving minimal buildup on mold surfaces, thus reducing maintenance and increasing production uptime.
Surface Integrity: Molded parts remain highly cleanable. After wiping with common degreasing solvents, parts can be painted or bonded without adhesion failure.
Thermal Versatility: Effective from 21°C to 260°C, suitable for both room-temperature and heat-accelerated curing cycles.
Technical Features
Universal Substrate Compatibility: Works on various mold materials, including steel, aluminum, chrome, epoxy, and flexible RTV urethane and silicone molds.
High-Fidelity Detail: Ultra-thin film allows precise duplication of intricate mold textures and details.
Aesthetic Finish: Provides a clean, glossy surface finish to the final cast part.
Operational Efficiency: Fast-drying and easy to apply, available in aerosol or liquid form, facilitating rapid manufacturing workflow.
Processing Instructions
Preparation: Ensure the mold surface is clean and free of previous residues. For new or porous molds, you may need a sealer before applying the release agent.
Application:
Aerosol: Hold the can 15–25 cm from the surface and apply a light, even mist.
Liquid: Brush or wipe onto the surface in a thin, uniform layer.
Flash-off: Allow the solvent to evaporate completely (usually 1–3 minutes) before pouring the resin or rubber.
Post-Molding: To prepare the cast part for painting or gluing, clean the surface with a solvent such as Acetone or Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any residual release film.
