Kick-It™ Accellerator

Description

This urethane rubber cure-accelerator is designed to shorten cure time for VytaFlex™, ReoFlex™, and PMC™ rubber products without significantly affecting their physical properties. It allows for faster removal of parts or molds from the original model.

Instructions

• Safety: Use in a well-ventilated area. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves. Store and use at room temperature. The product has a limited shelf life and should be used promptly.
• Measuring and Mixing: Measure all components using an accurate gram scale. Add the accelerator by percentage to Part B and mix thoroughly before adding Part A. Note that adding the accelerator reduces the pot life of the liquid rubber.
• Note: No significant increase in demold time is observed at percentages greater than 3%, except with PMC™ urethane rubbers, which can be accelerated faster than ReoFlex™ or VytaFlex™. Demold time can generally be reduced by half by exposing the material to 65°C (150°F).
• Example: To reduce the demold time of VytaFlex™ 10 from 24 hours to 7 hours, add 30 grams of accelerator to 1000 grams of VytaFlex™ 10 Part B. Mix thoroughly for at least one minute, ensuring to scrape the sides and bottom of the container. Add 1000 grams of Part A and mix thoroughly again. Pour into a clean container and mix thoroughly to avoid contamination. Do not delay between mixing and pouring, as the pot life is about 6 minutes.
• In about 7 hours, the rubber mold can be removed from the original model. Demold time can generally be reduced by half by exposing the material to 65°C (150°F).
