Smooth-On APHIX™ Silicone Adhesion Promoter
Silicone rubber is notoriously difficult to stick to. Smooth-On APHIX™ is a liquid primer specifically formulated to break this barrier. When applied to a silicone prosthetic skin or training model, it creates a tacky surface. This allows surgical tapes, bandages, and other medical dressings to stay firmly in place. This makes it ideal for repeated use during film shoots or medical training scenarios. It can be applied easily and precisely with a cotton swab, sponge, or fine brush.

Smooth-On NOVOCS™ Silicone Solvent
To remove the applied APHIX layer after use, the set includes NOVOCS™ silicone solvent. NOVOCS is a low-viscosity liquid that evaporates quickly and contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It not only fully removes APHIX adhesive residue, but also degreases the silicone surface beforehand for optimal adhesion. Additionally, NOVOCS is widely used to thin silicone paints (such as Psycho Paint) for airbrush applications.
